At Industria Chimica Panzeri we are strongly rooted in the Bergamo area where we were born and still operate. We live within a community and are very committed to trying to improve people’s lives. We are involved on many fronts, from social work to activities with and for cancer patients, from promoting cultural events to supporting sports associations. We do this with pride and a desire to do something positive for our community. Many of our initiatives then translate into important corporate welfare moments for our employees and contractors as well.
In the town of Esmate, overlooking the lake and its picturesque landscape, stands the “Andrea and Maria Panzeri” integrated day care center and temporary residence. It is a facility made out of a totally renovated 16th-century building, strongly desired by the Panzeri family to house the elderly and provide them with a place to spend their days peacefully. A space to receive medical care, therapies and entertainment typical of Assisted Living Residences. The center was opened in 2008 and has thirteen beds, as well as large equipped spaces designed to accommodate day center users.
The Bridge for Hopeproject, inspired by a similar existing center in the United States, offers support to all people impacted by cancer. Not through medical treatment, but through complementary activities aimed at sick people and their families and friends. Specialized massages, gymnastics, reiki, yoga, laughter therapy, oncological aesthetics, psychological support, recreational activities, and nutrition education are just some of the free activities the association, founded by Dr. Serena Panzeri, is involved in in the province of Bergamo. Several studies show how these complementary disciplines can bring significant benefits on cancer patients.
At Panzeri Chemistry, we love and promote art. We directly contribute to the organization of several temporary exhibitions held by the Carrara Academy of Bergamo. In his museum, one of the rooms is named after the memory of Gianfranco Panzeri. We also organize several free guided tours for our employees to the Academy, which we actively support in promoting all of its events, with special emphasis on exhibitions. We often use precisely the spaces of the Carrara Academy to propose our solidarity initiatives, a truly unique and evocative setting that can captivate all participants.
For us, strongly loving our local area also means supporting the associations working there. We have chosen to engage in sports, whose strong social function we share. We thus support some local sports clubs. However, our great passion remains speed! For many years we have supported the activities of Andrea Locatelli, a rider from the area, who is now racing in the World Superbike Championship after years spent in the MotoGP circus. Here today, however, we support the activities of Tony Arbolino, a rising star of Italian motorcycling who has already won several grand prix in Moto3 and Moto2.
